Alison Myrden takes Time 4 Hemp

Alison Myrden: From Law Enforcement to Cannabis Advocacy

In this eye-opening episode of Time 4 Hemp, host Casper Leitch, joint host Al Byrne, and technical director Al Graham welcome an extraordinary guest – Alison Myrden, a retired corrections officer turned fierce advocate for drug law reform and medical cannabis.

Diagnosed in 1992 with chronic progressive Multiple Sclerosis and severe Trigeminal Neuralgia, Alison became one of the first patients in the world to legally access medical cannabis. Her unique perspective - shaped by years in the Youth Court Justice system - sheds light on the harsh realities of drug criminalization and the transformative power of alternative medicine.

Tune in as Alison shares her personal battle with debilitating pain, the fight for patients' rights, and how cannabis has been a life-changing force in her journey. This is a conversation of courage, resilience, and hope. You won’t want to miss it!

I got involved in the Hemp Movement in 1990 when I was hired by Jack Herer to run hiss office. I launched the cable television series ‘TIME 4 HEMP’ on January 5, 1991. Time 4 Hemp is the first TV series in the history of broadcasting to focus strictly on the topic of cannabis. This has given me the dubious honor of being ‘The Father Of Marijuana Television’.
