Juanita Moorehigh

Lead Singer and Gourmet Chef

Juanita Moorehigh is the voice of The Illusions Of Music - both musically and in terms of snack-related decision-making.

As a chef at the Green Plate Bistro, she has elevated hemp cuisine to an art form, with dishes like “Cannabis Carrot Cake” and “Hemp Hummus” winning over skeptics and stoners alike.

Onstage, her electrifying vocals make audiences feel as if they’ve stumbled upon a spiritual awakening wrapped in leather pants.

Offstage, Juanita is the band’s eternal optimist, often reminding her crew to “stay lit - not just figuratively, but emotionally.”

Rumor has it, her warm-up routine includes gargling with hemp-infused tea while reciting Bob Dylan lyrics.

Other groups Juanita has worked with.

The Funky Cold Coven

A disco-witchcraft fusion band that enchanted audiences with their grooves but accidentally cursed their own equipment to break down during every major performance. Their debut album, ‘Hex on the Dance Floor’, remains a cult classic, albeit mostly among actual covens.

The Treble Makers

This acappella group soared to moderate fame with their "vocal shredding" style, which mimicked electric guitar solos using only their voices. Their downfall came when fans mistook their high-pitched harmonies for actual fire alarms during a packed stadium concert.

Unforgettable Moments

Hemp Culinary Catastrophe

While testing a new recipe for hemp ice cream, Juanita accidentally swapped salt for sugar, creating an unexpectedly savory dessert. When her band-mates teased her, she declared, “Savory Buzz ice cream is the new wave of the future!” They now refer to her kitchen as “Juanita’s Test Lab.”

Mic Drop - Literally

At a particularly spirited gig, Juanita decided to end the set with a dramatic mic drop. Unfortunately, the mic hit a speaker, causing a chain reaction that ended with Bud Stoner’s cymbal crashing onto the floor. She now ends every show with a wink and a cautious placing of the mic on its stand.
