For this special day we purchase flowers, cakes, dinners, cards and so many other things for a loved one in our life. Some of those loved ones also receive cannabis in order to help them with a medical condition or conditions.

There was a time when I could go to a local quiet park and take a stroll through it but even that is getting harder as the banning of smoking in local parks has set in.

Hemp prohibition is on our front cover. It’s written about in newspapers, blogs and it’s all over social media. Now people are voting about it. The “It” is the ending of cannabis prohibition. Cannabis advocates for years have been saying that cannabis prohibition is more harmful to society than the plant itself and for me I think we’re now seeing the results of years of hard work.

Legally prescribed cannabis is a point of contention between global corporations and governments and their employees. Our cover photo this month shows a very upset Cpl. Ron Francis. He is a 22 year veteran of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and is returning his Red Serge to the local office. Why? Because he used his legally prescribed cannabis while wearing it.
