Hemp May Be The Next Gold Mine

Casinos on Native American land have poured billions in to tribal economies since the late 1980’s, lifting many people from poverty. Now, some hope, cultivating industrial hemp could do the same. Under U.S. law, hemp can be grown only for research, with a permit from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Enforcement Administration said.

The DEA Remains Publicly Ignorant

The Drug Enforcement Administration continues to cling to an ignorant policy that has proven to be a failure since its conception. Marijuana will remain a Schedule l controlled substance, which declares it has “no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse,” the Drug Enforcement Administration said.
